Trisha Ashford
Donor Services Manager

Trisha traveled to Kenya with Discover the World in 2006 and has remained involved with the organization since then through various volunteer projects. A recent graduate of the University of Southern California, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business. Prior to joining the team at DTW, she worked with Wolfgang Puck Catering at LA LIVE for two years. Outside of work, Trisha is an elected leader within the USC Alumni Association and oversees their annual fundraising benefit and enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends. With this position in DTW, she hopes to build up the relationships that have already been formed between the children in Kenya and the sponsors in the United States and use her marketing and events knowledge to strengthen the relationships with the foundation of supporters of this organization.

Jodhy Darracq
Accounting Intern
La Canada, CA

Johdy has just completed her Masters Degree in Accounting and Finance in France. She now joins Discover the World for one year as our accounting intern. She is training internationally in preparation for completing her PhD.  For the past two years, Jodhy was employed as an Assistant Projects Manager with SocGen Corporate and Investment Bank in Paris. Her eyes and heart have long been open to the great needs among the African people, having traveled through many of its countries during her lifetime. Joining Discover the World is for her a dream come true in uniting her compassion for the poor with her continuing education.

The Rev. Dr. Douglas E. Millham
Co-Founder & President

Dr. Doug Millham is co-founder of Discover the World, along with his wife (of 36 years) Jackie. His life is dedicated to loving his family and serving God. Doug is an ordained Presbyterian minister, having earned degrees from UC Berkeley, UCLA, and a doctorate in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. His remaining life passion is to connect resources with needs, doing whatever he can to help inspire hope for vulnerable children around the world.

Christa Peitzman
Short-term Missions Coordinator
La Canada, CA

Christa has a passion for children in need. She earned a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University. She continued on at SDSU to earn both a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and a Single Subjects Credential for teaching English. Christa has over 27 years of experience working with children, youth and young adults in classroom, camp and ministry settings. She has participated on and led short-term mission trips for the past 15 years. She is a long-standing member of the Youth Ministry Support Team at La Canada Presbyterian Church and also serves on the Fuller Youth Advisory committee. She and her husband Tom are parents of 3 college age daughters. Nothing brings her more joy than being in Kenya and introducing a team to the kids who hold a big piece of her heart.
